first of all, lol.
it's standard practice for non-blockbuster releases. it has everything to do with the bottom line. premiering a film first in the uk gives it a chance to gain some buzz so the dumbass popcorn gorging masses on this side of the pond will be more apt to see it when it opens in theaters here.
why they think a remake to a cult classic needs any additional hype is beyond me.

I honestly think they should've put something from PPD on here like Gardenia instead of that awful remix of Lust For Life, would have made more sense thematically too. Huge missed opportunity really.
