Tbh I've never listened to Spoon besides their last album, which was very good but kinda boilerplate/unremarkable to me overall

Spoon are solid as fuck but ive never given them anything above a 4. id take The National over them any day.

Menzinger's are a consisentent 3-3.5. Spoon are a consistent 4 and The National are consistently floating at 4.5-5 so yeah.

Eager to check this. On the Impossible Past is one of my favorite albums of all time. Also a lot of the lyrics I can relate to, not emotionally per se, but lived in the Scranton area for over 10 years, so I know a lot of the locations. I used to live right off Summit Road as well. Anyways, they have such a good sound and the singles were great, so I'm ready to jam this all day tomorrow. Also, holy shit that average

That 4.3 will dip, no way its gonna beat out or even match Impossible Past.

Man I really need to get into the Menzingers already. Good review, like others have said use the proofreading section in the forums before posting.

Really enjoying this album. After 4-5 listens it might be my favorite album of theirs. That title track is so solid.

This is really solid. First Menzingers experience and probably my 2nd favorite album very early here in 2017 (behind Dryjacket - 3.7).

Itll never beat Rented World or Impossible Past for me. The songwriting just isnt as interesting. Still love it though.

Sowing you need to get on their other stuff. I'd definitely go with impossible past next

Initially I didn't like it as much as rented world but the more i spin it the more I think that opinion is changing. If anything, it's more consistent than rented world (although I'm not sure there's anything on here quite as good as rodent)

This was strong enough to convince me that their past discog is worth checking, at some point or another.
