I think this album is tied with Rented World for their second best album. OTIP is just to damn good to be dethroned imo. This album is still amazing though. If i were to complain, I would say that the singles are the best tracks on the album (along with Black Mass), so the rest of the album was just a little bit of a let down.

Fantastic review, as always, Treb. What a record. What a fucking record. Bumped to a five today. It's that good.

Maybe On the Impossible Past, otherwise you'd prolly be alright just jumping into this.

OTIP is my favorite of theirs, yet this hasn't really had enough time to sink in to rank it in their discography.

impossible past was very immediate for me. rented world was an extreme grower however. barely enjoyed it on first listen and now its my favorite record of theirs. doubt this will grow as hard

OTIP is so so good but it has weak tracks like Ava House. There's also some cheese in the vocal delivery "We took rides in your American muscle car, etc." This has some weaker tracks like Black Mass, but they are necessary to slow down the album. It's a bummer that their slower tracks are the sour grapes here because I love me a slow jam

The guitar at the beginning of House on Fire sounds likes its straight off of OtIP. I fucking love it.
