Doreass is a pretty decent song

Wow this is fucking terrible.
How the fuck do you come out of the studio and tell yourself, "Yea, this sounds great. Fans/people are gonna like this"
This sounds like Ross Robinson put a gun to their heads and told them to make the album in 1 hour or else...
|
| |
Well, according to the band they created this record not giving a shit about what 'haters' have to say about it. Obviously they cared a whole lot because they really didn't take criticism well after releasing it.

could be the gayest thing ever released.

I think the of mice and men album is worse. 'cold world' at least this one is funny at times with how ridiculous it is and the guy can actually sing, the of mice and men one is serious as hell and the guy is super whiny

"LEARN LESSONS FOR A LIFETIME!"
count me the fuck in

The way the guy from of mice and men sings the song ''pain'' from their last album is fucking horrible. He's like ''MY BACKS ABOUT FUCKING BREAK!!! ALL THIS WEIGHT!! PAINN!!!''
What sucks is the guy actually has a terrible personal life and health (he has cancer or something else, I think, or he did) and you'd think he could have written more heartfelt sounding stuff but guess not.

Fans slated the fuck out of Doris, but I thought it was one of the better ones on here. lol

Doris would actually be a good song if the cleans weren't so cringey.

Spun this today-- "Doris" was okay and I felt like I could get through the whole thing. The cleans didn't really strike me as awful until I hit "Listen". There's a lot of Corey Taylor in the vocals, a pastiche of Korn in the music, and every now and again I can pull out the Deftones. Not hearing the Glassjaw at all. On "Run" he sounds like a cut-rate Trent Reznor. Of course when you put all these bands in the same sentence it wouldn't be fair to leave out Quicksand.
The last SS album I listened to was their first one when it came out and I expected this to be more deathcore-- like "Hold Me Up, Hold Me Down". "Dying in a Red Room" doesn't work very well with whatever they're trying to accomplish.
The review really pinpoints what is wrong with the album: Lots of things but mostly the vocals. He can't sing and he can't scream.
I feel like I've said way more about this album than it deserves. This isn't one I'm ever going to return to.
