hope it grows because I'm having mixed feelings about this one unlike any of their albums before it

i think both throw me in the river and this are less immediate albums than the first two. the song structures are fairly unconventional and the song ideas are very original for indie-punk, so i think it takes your brain a little longer to put together all the parts of a smith street album since ya cant quite make all the connections between what the band is doing from one idea to the next at a mere glance.
