i think if you still expect "development" in their sound by now, youre setting yourself up for disappointment. this obviously isnt the kind of band thats going to experiment a lot.

This is definitely their worst record

Throw Me in The River is by far my favorite, so maybe it just feels worse than it is in comparison

Got a feeling I'd love these guys. Start with the debut I assume?

Never heard of these guys before, but this album was fantastic. I'm definitely going to check their back catalogue.

So you're saying he should take the George Hirsch from Blacklisted approach with his lyrics? He knows his life is shit but he will brutally move the fuck on.

I mean the funny thing is when this band released "I scare myself" where they actually were changing they caught more flack than they ever had. People will not be pleased regardless.

wouldn't say it was bad but it just shouldn't have been a Smith Street song.

Maybe it'll grow, but Run into the World is an instant skip for me.

that's my point though

If they do something different people freak out

If they do the same thing they have been doing people get pissed

I'm starting to think this is almost as good as Throw Me In The River in its own way

That one absolutely floored me on first listen and is the reason I thought this was a huge disappointment at first. I wanted another dark, aggressive album but this is more like a polished touch up of the debut imo

There's just something kinda off about this record that's keeping me from really getting into it
