Wow, too much word slaying in these comments.

All I would disagree with is the reference to Bob Bryar on the drums in 'Three Cheers...', when he never actually recorded on this album. Matt Pelissier was still in the band when this album was recorded and released. So maybe you should give what little credit that was given, in regards to drum work, to Matt not Bob. And other than that something was mentioned in the comments about song structure and how it was too basic and whatnot; song stucture on Bullets was different as their production was from a guy who was actually in a band, Geoff Rickley (Love for music, not sales), and it was an Indie label, Revenge was the transition to a Major label and guys like Howard Benson preaching and pushing the popular technique of song structure onto this band who were, at that point, basically lab rats in a world that was all too new to them. And one last thing, which is hugely an assumption I made after analysing behaviour and personality; Gerard pushed his voice too hard in Bullets as it was his first ever album and he was trying to impress and showoff his talent (which does exist, don't be harsh), because he is a showoff and does feed off people's reactions. And he slightly pushed his voice on Revenge also as this was now a major label, bigger and better things, feeling like he'd have to give his all and, yet again, impress [the big shots]. With the new album 'The Black Parade' and the live performances of late, I think, Gerard focusses more on emoting each line rather than focussing on reactions after belting out a note with full force. More maturity on every level, from all of the members really, which is good. Blah, blah, blah. I ramble too much. Enough said.

mcr, well, most of the instrumental is dissapointing after listening to from first to last for so long, but that is completely made up by Gerard Way. damn that guy can sing.

o.k c.d, but i thought the mainstream 'Ghost of You' was the most depressing song on the album...not because of how it was written..more just how it spoiled the mood of the album and how i have to skip it every time.

That or they either think hating on the band is the new black, or they just don't like the album. Just, y'know... putting that out there.

Yeah, maybe there's not much talent here, but this album has some really catchy, melodic songs. And that's why I like it.

Whenever I see the title 'The Ghost Of You', I get that Good Charlotte song stuck in my head. Shows how catchy this album is.

Great review. Only 3 songs stood out for me. Helena, Jet Set life, and Ghost of you. Ghost of you has it's bad parts but overall is actually a good song. The others were forgettable. Everyone loves to hate this band and I also admit that I hate to give them any credit. They are ok but not great. I can't stand the make up and all that stuff but that's a whole nother story....This Message Edited On 05.23.07
