i've listened to it roughly 5 times so far and there's a standout moment on every song

one thing i noticed early on is that i can tell where i am in the record because each track sounds a little different, which isn't always a guarantee with this genre

The Horror Within has a Spongebob reference if anyone cares.

I think the reference itself is amusing but the fact that so many people caught it is more funny to me.

Hard to believe a deathcore album is averaging 4.1 on Sputnik.

By my knowledge the only others that are at least a 4 are exoplanet and the first red chord album.

Yeah but I think it's dropped to like 3.8 now.

Still think xenocide is stronger than this personally, but both records are solid.

There are some guest spots, and Chris does those rough sounding cleans.

But yeah, it's like 95% Ben. He's a beast.

Thy Art Is Murder.

Really bad comparison, very different styles of Deathcore. And that band sucks.

Still digging this however many days later.

Some songs are somewhat forgettable, but the moments like the piano that accompanies the guest vocals in The Prophet's Beckoning are what keep me coming back.

it's nothing particularly spectacular from a conceptual/musical standpoint, but the execution is wonderful.

An album with "somewhat forgettable songs" is a 4.5 to you?
