Mac's songwriting skills reached a peak with this album. Although 2 and Salad Days were arguably more enjoyable instrumentally, Demarco grabs the attention of listeners with the lyrics this time around, letting the instruments take more of a back seat. While it might not be my favorite, or his best, subjectively, this is easily his most mature.



I really hope he comes back to form after all the lizard cowboy hoopla.
