a lot of this is very good and competent but it wasn't until the last song that it fucking hit me

song titles are way too normal and legible for a Scogin project tho

The song titles totally make up a phrase though. Just read through them all at once.

Eventually we all win, whether terrified or unafraid, without any words; only crying and laughter. No montage, no apologies. The workers are few. Life has it's design, death is a lottery. What more can I say?

I'd say it's about death and it's inevitability.

Seems like a bit of stretch there Xing, but it's Scogin we're talking about so I guess anything's possible.

Not a stretch. Check the track list for The Fiancée.

This is one of those rare albums where I feel like the second half is stronger than the first. The first half is great but feels like its just an extension of their first album.

This. Scogin has three other albums where the song titles all form one idea and I think this one fits perfectly

What More Can I Say is probably the best song I have heard this year. Saw this band live having no idea who they were because Jerry from trophy scars was doing stuff with them, so I decided to give this a go today and was not disappointed. Seriously though the last two songs on this are immense.

Yeah this shit is powerful

"Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Death is quick but it can last so long."

Like fuck man

And I can't be the only that thinks Josh sounds kinda like Kurt Cobain at times? Album (and heir debut tbh) both vibe with In Utero imo. And that's good.

Huh. Not sure if this is back-loaded or if it just took me some time to get into it, but pretty much everything from No Apologies (fucking slight The Body vibes in the music/production) on was fucking mint, most notably that track, The Workers Are Few, Death is a Lottery and What More Can I Say.

Scogin is a fucking god. The Chariot was my first really 'heavy' band, he's still going strong. Saw these guys with ETID back in December, crazy shit. Loving this album.
