I wouldn't call the unanswered questions of 1) just what is going on with this band rn 2) why almost all the key members have quit and 3) just what prompted the enormously uncomfortably defensive tone of that suicide post "doing a good job of it". Seems absolutely reasonable to be suspicious of him and the deletion of sensitive context atm

not directly - but danny is known to get personally involved with fanpages and everything to do with their online presence. wouldn't be much effort for him to report/threaten litigation.



there's no other reason why the DM's from band members would be removed.



and with say, lostprophets, the allgegations were FRIGHTENINGLY serious - but keep in mind they only came to light when he was actually arrested. they were silenced otherwise. i don't think damage control would be possible if things got to that point.

i interjected in a conversation where he was insulting a fan for liking their old stuff more and calling people names for criticizing his band (it wasn't unreasnably worded criticism either). he shortly after deleted his account. he does a lot of very. impulsive shit so it makes these allegations more believable for me. i'm not calling them categorical truth either - but it's enough to make me very, very wary.



i've heard stories from other bands where he'd get insulted back in the peaceville days for people coming to his shows for the other bands and not knowing who anathema are. again, not claiming categorical truth as i was like... two when this happened and clearly not there lmao. but afaic if there's smoke there's a fire, regardless of the proportionality.

ps: i was in a discord group that compiled a lot of this evidence that has now been deleted from the anathema subreddit (wasn't aware when i pointed willie there). i can't categorically say why it was all deleted - be it the fanpage trying to douse the fire, danny having something to do with it, both, neither, who knows... but i'm convinced there has to be some truth to it.

even with it being speculative it's a serious matter and being dismissive about it is extremely unhelpful and as damaging as believing it falsely would be. if we operate on the fact it's true for a moment, i don't see how making statements about unsubstantiative it is because evidence is public would be reasonable, let alone kind. we're talking about something that is more or less impossible to categorically prove and seeing a bunch of internet weirdos calling it out is honestly a pretty damaging precedent. victims don't owe you shit.

nonce literally means pedo. it's used as an insult *against pedos*. i'm from the UK. someone in a band who is aware of its definition and meaning would not use that kind of language if it wasn't fitting because they would know how it would be attributed. this is really weak.



also the allegations go deeper than one member calling him a nonce - he ended up in a head-to-head with the owner of a fanpage over a dispute over allegations that ended up in him all-caps responding ANATHEMA DO NOT TOUCH KIDS. the language was 100% intentional in its meaning.
