Saw them on Halloween with Boris and Endon. Crazy show and I'm definitely a fan now. Mutoid Man killed it. Yeah, I wouldn't take the lyrics seriously at all. They were all about having a good time and playing metal.
Their live bassist couldn't make it out, so Brodsky's brother covered a part of the set, then I believe it was the guitarist from Dillinger Escape Plan that came on to play the last two songs with them.

i really dig this! It looks like qotsa and soad sounds blended, and the somehow they manage to be slayer trashy and mastodon progy at the same time.
