Idk there are like 2-3 songs at max that I'd call too safe. Granted they haven't reinvented themselves from scratch

I'm probably being harsh though, I haven't even listened to this more than once since it was released.

The guitar swagger in Unkind is something they should consider doing more often, I dig the little riffs after the chorus and the part 2:30 onwards.

Give it more chances, I agree with Willie about this not showing all of its cards at first glance. Tell me that you at least remember Hex :'(

^ Album's best imo

My favorites are All of Nothing, Unkind, Hex, No Tomorrow. The Lowest Low is great too when in the mood. I also really like the lyrics of Endless

I dig the whispered "I want the stars in your eyes / I'll take the stars from your eyes" part in Games

Yeah that's my favorite track here, probably my favorite album of theirs since walking with strangers honestly.

Everything they've done since Pins and Needles has sounded like a B-side off of Pins and Needles.

The new album is pretty good. It's definitely a more dynamic version of this, though.

Sounds like old TBM.

Classic TBM track though, didn't reinvent the wheel at all. That's fine with me, I'll listen because I always do.

But I unfortunately agree with that, Pins and Needles is really the only album you need from this band and you won't be missing much from the other albums

Very squared but as a single I'd say it does its job. I can dig the pre-chorus and the guitar in the second half.

They pushed a bit more the electronic elements in UYS while also going back to creepy vibes for a couple songs, I'm curious to see if they can develop in any direction.

I'm not sure if a song from Pins could even enter my top 15 tbh
