also Doof wonderful review man, been missing reviews like this by you that aren't The Tiger Lillies (; haha. what's interesting about their first album is that they had some positive, critical acclaim (Pitchfork reviewed it and gave it a 7.4 as an example), but I think due to the time period (2003 was a weird year in terms of music media), this just didn't have the push it needed to be truly popular. them not releasing it in the US isnt helping them this time around though but alas

Con, Pitchfork only reviewed 'Bluffer's' in 2005 so I guess it still meant that maybe both sides of the Atlantic were still first engaging with the album at different times. Seems like history is repeating...Pitchfork won't review this until next year...if they decide to at all.
Also 7.4 is the exact most invisible rating any album can be awarded on Pitchfork.
