Remember kids, if Trebor doesn't like it it's probably good.

@starfish The first half is at least on par with This is How. The less heavy tracks are a notch below that record imo, save for a few.

Lost Positives sounds so much like Red it's distracting. otherwise this is a really solid album.

This Is How The Wind Shifts is a classic to me. The album structure is amazing. In a Place of Solace, With Second Chances, and A Better Place. Incredible variety. The retelling of "you're killing me, kid." Ugh. So beautiful.

I Am Alive.. was good. That's it. It lacked a lot of the creativity they did with This Is How.. A lack of interludes as if they didn't feel like putting on the final touches.

I could not agree more ebola. The first half had me extremely excited. And the second half had me continually wanting to see what was next.

Retrograde is lovely as hell. Lost Positives is somewhat more alternative but damn that bridge is amazing.

I mean, you're not wrong. I'd say this may very well be the most "different" record they've released in a while, and it's still almost the exact same thing.

Not sure i'm hearing the comparison unfortunately.

After two listens, album is swell. Not sure it's their best, but their consistency is just something to behold. Sitting around a 3.5 or 4.

But it's the same in a good way, as far as being the same again can be good. Their style stays more or less similar on all records, but they don't have a bunch of songs sounding alike as much so you can't tell them apart, like it's the case with most more "modern" scene bands.
