i should give this a listen but anyone who makes an emo parody album including a legit cover of sdre's seven is suffering from a very confusing manic depression and this is also probably really overrated by you guys

I'm usually not a fan of music parody, but this has certainly caught my attention, so I guess I'll give it a shot.

I'm not feeling a lot of this. Particularly not a fan of Pink Wednesday. Hoping it grows on me a little.

Yeah, I don't like this at all. ): Mumble, Average Joe, and some of the midsection is nice. But I can't get into songs like Ohio Is for Emo Kids. It doesn't feel cohesive enough as a mashup, and tracks like Pink Wednesday are disjointed as well, IMO; it starts off as a Tigers Jaw song, then turns into something else entirely(?). And the outro to that song is sweet, but its fade is so sudden and unrealistic.

I don't feel that he does anything as well as the artists he parodies, only veils some of their more distinct stylistic choices, taking portions of pre-existing music, and obscuring them (within reason) under a layer of sarcasm and self-awareness.

That said, there's certainly, very obviously something I'm missing (and missing out on) here, so I'm really glad you guys are digging this. He seems like a really cool dude.

this is way too hard to rate. when I showed this to my band I played every song like a clip at least and my guitarist was like "I hate this so much...but it's done so well" hahaha. I agree with u tho blush I def dont like this as much as most of the bands he is parodying but I gotta respect his accuracy. also Mumble is fucking hilarious

It's so trippy how the line between genuine music in this realm and 'comedy' have blurred so dramatically on this record

You're not wrong. I still don't know if it's great, or if it just completely undermines my musical taste. I shouldn't be catching these feels from a comedy album
