The girls backup vocals ruin most of the songs.

Sounds a lot different than their previous stuff. Very uplifting and do-gooderish. But I'm liking it so far

only neverbloom was really boring by these guys, no idea why that album is so liked, there is painfully little variety and the songwriting is not that good

But their transition should surprise no one, talented bands usually realize how they're squandering their potential and vision by playing plain deathcore. There's so much more you can do when you're not restricting yourself to a fad, just look at The Contortionist.

Yeh the band name makes zero sense with the music they release now. Changing the name would be really wierd though

"very disappointing album. I wasn't too hot on the stylistic change in the first place but it's the least of my worries at this point, the songs just blend together too much. At least two or three I completely mistook for Fireworks on the first listen, and most of the songs generally follow the exact same format. Some of the lyrics are pretty ass, the spoken word bit in "Save Yourself" is absolutely awful. That said, album is still listenable. Sean's vocals are really impressive at times and I like the new clean singer."

Just curious how many listens through you've had? Not questioning your score, I felt the same way as you did the first couple of spins but then it just clicked with me. I do agree with some of the lyrics being a bit odd though

Keys add nice texture to the music but what does this band do that no one else in the genre does? Also this band is called Make Them Suffer but they're metalcore? Lol
