Omega rules, anything by Triana rules, anything by Elbicho rules. I found all those thanks to Dewi and this album

English isn't my first language either but... I don't know man, your reviews are great and well written. Plus I never saw a comment from you with ''English isn't my first language'' or something like that hahaha

I'm on the second year of Latin and Classical Greek and first of cuneiform and I can't stress enough how important learning different languages are. it can be daunting, but has an incredibly rewarding payoff (obv I'm only translating, not speaking)

Haha, well tx Ripp, I've said it talking to Aiwaz and Rodrigo in some Tool thread I think, but anyway, no big deal, just studied in Uni and worked abroad so had to learn fast.

You studying translation Kev?

starting to lean towards it doggie. taking the 3 languages listed above this semester, and it's fun but obviously far too fucking much. double majoring in History and Classics and minoring in Linguistic History. only thing that's shitty about it is that is *only* translation, whereas if I would have taken, say, Spanish or another modern language, I would *technically* be conversational regardless of how shitty I'd be. soon, though...

nice, informative review. I also had no idea Spanish was your first language!

as I mentioned, not all too familiar with flamenco despite that Rosalia rec..but I've added this one to my phone, so we'll see what happens ;]

I like most styles of folk music, so considering flamenco is based on folkloric musical traditions of Spain, there's a good chance I'll enjoy a lot of it

Haha cheers for checking Atari.

There's a lot of good flamenco music out there nowadays. Rosalía is a good example. If you want to dig deeper into its roots you should check Camarón de la Isla, who is basically the God of flamenco.

If it is your first Flamenco contact it may be that Neek, takes a while to assimilate.

I keep coming back to this album. Somehow, it touches me deeply. It's definitely one my 10 favourite albums of the decade.
