@Essence Yeah dude I agree. I mentioned it in my comment above, but I really dug their half of the split with Paysage, so I did have pretty high hopes for this one. I'll probably give it a couple more listens at some point. I've been relistening to MGLA's Exercises in Futility a lot lately, and man does that album really set the bar high for my atmo BM expectations.

Other than the riffs being the most memorable stuff this band has written since blood in our wells sans the split from last year the thing that jumped out at me the most on the first listen is how spectacularly the drummer manages to break up the more hypnotic passages with creative fills and little nuances so it doesn’t feel like anything drags.

A Furrow Cut Short didn't really hit home for me, so I was a little apprehensive about this one. This review has me interested, though. I'm going to give it a go.

Really nice and concise review, man. You've been kicking ass on Staff

Their last couple albums/splits did nothing for me so here's hoping you're right ;]

Shit, I thought this wasn't out for another week. Gonna play this all weekend.

Also, yeah, Atari, I haven't been too pleased with their recent releases, but the single from this and the split with Paysage got me excited.

3 songs in before I had to go into work. Sounds pretty good. Not drudkh golden era good but definitely best thing they've done since eternal turn of the wheel

Third track and last track stood out the most on first listen. Need some more time to assess properly.

"The band’s classic twin-guitar interplay unfurls with the delicacy of periwinkle petals."

I'm not gonna lie, this got me hard.

Agreed hard, the slight beat division changes and accents really make this.

So, this DOES own.
Will check Drudkh soon for sure, have yet to hear a release by them. For real, you set the fucking bar for reviews, this is amazing.
