First listen: There's almost always something great going on, either lyrically, vocally, or instrumentally. Still, I found this frustrating because it's usually only one of those elements doing well at a time. Like there's brief moments when the planets align and you get it all coming together but most of the time you have sparks of brilliance embedded in otherwise bland backdrops.

Album is fantastic. Feathers is my favorite track at the moment. By and Down the River is working its way up there though.

The singles were all so different that I expected this to be more scattershot, but the transitions from song to song actually work really well. It's nice to know that a Maynard related project besides Lateralus can also exist with 0 filler or nonsense.

Hate the title, hate the cover, can't really stand the politically charged lyrics, but none of that is really important. The music is amazing. Such a well-crafted album overall, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Some really great songs on here and some meh ones. The album on the whole isn't on the level of their classic material but I can see myself coming back to it a lot anyway.
The Doomed and By And Down The River are both amazing and probably my favourites here.
