I keep returning to these bands and they've lost their vocalists. GAAAAH! One day, I'm going to go to listen to DGD and the whole roster will be switched and they'll be a vegan power metal band. Jeez. Good review though.

Nah, Into the Vanishing Light took another approach and focussed more on electronics/atmosphere, which I really liked. It has loads of different styles and I actually know nothing to compare it properly. It's also a little bit slower I think.
EDIT: I like the samples. And btw this review is pretty awesome and accurate. Nice job!

Finished listening to the album, and tbh I thought it ended on a weak note. I am surprised they chose that song to close the album.

Vanishing Light was quite a bit better than their debut imo.

I actually really like Infinity Beach and its jazzy vibe, it also makes sense in the context of the latter half in which more "intense" songs alternate with more peaceful ones

For me, their previous efforts in comparison to this are a perfect example how a genre can be a "creative prison". I don't know if its just the vocals...but the dude just whining around with standard metalcore screams and "feelings" keeps me off the music tbh. In this one they clearly left that "hardcore/metalcore bullshit" (I love those genres when they are applied with originality and/or identity) and went into a more progressive style with lots of influences.
On the other hand I wonder If this opinion I'm having is just because of the vocal's absence and more focus on instrumentation. Looks like everyone enjoys pretty much the previous records.
PS: I think to that the sophomore is a bit better than the debut thought.

This is way better than what I was expecting. I remember when Tides of Man became instrumental and I was a little underwhelmed with that title cause it sounded like traditional post rock. Night Verses have their own lane and bring in just the right amount of technicality to keep things fresh.

This is insanely creative, I didn't expect to like it this much.

Halfway through the first track, I'm calling this one of the top 10 albums of the year. The rest of the album better hold this track's weight.
EDIT 1: MOTHER OF FUCKING GOD WHAT THE FUCK AM I LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW (Vice Wave). If this go's under a 4 I'm going to fucking unleash hell on everyone.
EDIT 2: I'm now on New Moon.... How the fuck is this album still this good, I would have expected a dipping point eventually, seems like tracks are either Excellent or absolutely INCREDIBLE, so I guess that's the dipping point?

Fuck it, 5'ing this. Giving my all to the good fight.
I can't think of any instrumental album that grips you this much, so for that reason, along with the fact this fucking rips, I think it's worthy of a 5.

Apparently I accidentally hit spacebar or something before I went to bed, because when I woke up this morning this album was playing quietly from my computer lmao
