Cries of the the Past is still leagues better, but I like this album.

TOCS is super gay, though. This is only quasi-gay.

I know, but a lot of people seem to believe that using that phrase is somehow terrible. Maybe it's just some of the people I've met, whatever.

it really depends on the way it's used, like if you use it to express shock or something and you aren't actually calling out to God, then it's bad, but if you are, i guess pleading, then it's ok.

i beg to differ, and i think you missed the point, i was saying that they were crying out in desperation.

i cant stand Killswitch

You are an amazing reviewer. I can't get all the songs off this, but I have most. You're ever so inviting is still one of my fav's

As entertaining as it is, this review is excessively opinionated in some spots. Where you spend the better part of a paragraph bashing Spencer's vocals, for example, you could have easily trimmed that down while still making your point and also being a bit more objective (although I've got to agree with you on the quality of his scream). Aside from that, I think you pretty accurately assessed the changes that the band have undergone stylistically and you hit the nail right on the head with their songwriting improvements. Props.

It seems like the reviewer does not enjoy screaming in general.
