"if we still are not saved,
was I not sufficiently ashamed?"
And the delivery of that line.

does the LP have a slated release date yet? Positive this rules but if these songs are gonna be on the LP, I don't wanna spoil myself

Only Winter Solstice will also be on the LP and from the looks of it, it will be an entirely different version. This was meant to be listened to in addition to the LP.
The LP is being released on October 5.

LP is out October 5th. I don’t think jamming this will have a negative impact on your LP listening experience. Doesn’t look like they share any track titles.

I can see someone being unimpressed by this first listen, but it grows super quickly.

I think people are definitely aware, but they also know this was an intentional choice by the band.
The band's manager on the parallels of the artwork for the Ep and Lp:
"I love what you guys pick up. This was totally the intent of the artwork. Aaron picked the album art and I picked the ep. The EP artwork was meant literally depict the condensed ball that that the Album explodes into... and I mean EXPLODES. IN. TO."
This was clearly meant to be an exhale.

Yeah the feeling here is certainly deliberate (and perfectly executed, imo).

Also, if this isn’t grabbing you, it may help to read along with the lyrics if you haven’t already. Some of Weiss’ best, which is really just incredible at this point.

Also, I highly recommend listening to Rainbow Signs -> Bethlehem, WV directly for anyone who hasn't tried it yet. The Abrahamic joke passage leads right into it flawlessly.

Also this was inevitable:
1. Bethlehem, WV - 5/5
2. Winter Solstice (Alt. Version) - 5/5
3. Dirty Air - 4.5/5
4. Cities of the Plain - 3.5/5
5. Existential Dread, Six Hours' Time - 3.5/5
6. August 6th - 4.5/5
7. Kristy W/ The Sparkling Teeth - 5/5

After one run through, it's obvious this a grower, and a heck of a grower too. I'll need to jam it some more to get my final rating

Thanks Atari and I think that's wise. This isn't going anywhere between now and October 5th and there are more essential pieces to acclimate yourself with.

Gonna go sparingly with this, I don't like to binge mwY knowing that they've got a way of growing into regular rotation however I end up. Nice impression so far and sweet review dude

So there's a dude on Chorus.fm who is claiming to have a promo copy of the LP
Calls it post-apocalyptic, their most dynamic, and says "oh hell yeah" when asked if Aaron screams a lot
Hmmm
