Hell nahhh I love the opening drum beat and guitar riff, how primal it all feels. Then when the song kicks in the riff, albeit unchanged, gives off more of a brooding vibe mixed with the slow tempo and vox. I really enjoy that one

Reign in Blood was not heavier, just different. Being heavy doesn't necessarily mean to be faster and tighter. There's plenty of heaviness to be found when you get lost in the groove of a slower song.
Its always the space between the notes.
