This is their worst material, by far. What an absolute slog to get through, and whoever took all the bite out of their guitar tone needs to reevaluate their choices.

Spun a bit more than half of this and shut it off. It’s just way too god damn long for how stagnant they’re getting. Would probably end up being about a generous 3 if I ever return to this to finish it

Hearing a lot of flack about this album but I can kinda appreciate a decent radio metal act. I will probably 3 this.

It's probably not a permanent being back, but I will probably lurk more than I have over the past few years! I'll never return to that 2007-2010 version of me on here.

An album of songs for the end credits of b-action movies. My head bobbed on occasion.

It's amazing that this band was the flagship of metal in my life 10 years ago and now it's a dingy barely afloat

Good to see a Poet review. I remember seeing your name all the time a decade ago lol I agree with you though. This album is a ton of fun and I didn't really feel bored at all, despite the length. The only time this band sort of lost me was with Surtur's Fire, but that might just have been burn out from how much I listened to Fate of Norns, With Oden On Our Side, and Twilight of the Thunder God. One of the most consistent bands in metal releases another solid entry.

Looks like Kratos if anything.

I will say the album art isn't really doing it for me, especially when their album arts from Twilight to Deceiver are among my all time favorite album arts.

"Looks like Kratos if anything."

The most recent God of War was amazing, but Kratos will always be exclusively Greek to me.

This is OK, just not very memorable. At least jomsviking had raise your horns, first kill, way of vikings etc.
