I really don't see how many being a Trump supporter has anything at all to do with Bad Religion putting out a substandard album that comes off way more ham-fisted and poorly written then their other work, it's not mutually exclusive concepts. They're just capable of much better. And you quoting stuff and trying to smear me in an attempted "gotcha" to just makes YOU look pathetic. It's my review, it's my opinions, kick rocks.
***
Honestly how is a lyric like this:
"Big cyber-weapon, little traitor in chief
He's got a big black dog on a leash"
any less on the nose in the political climate of the day to this:
"The businessman whose master plan
Controls the world each day
Is blind to indications of
His species' slow decay"
***
I'm not complaining about whether it's currently relevant, I'm saying in comparison to their older lyrics these just not that good and it dates the record in a lot of areas.
"Pathetic centrist" lol tell me, how rad it is to be a liberal Templar Knight trolling my social media just to get things to say about me? I bet you cook amazing dinner for your wife's boyfriend too

BR have always been political, not overly partisan. There's a difference between talking about the state of things and looking for solutions versus writing about how Trump is going to bring about Apocalypse and all his supporters are jackboot wearing Nazis. It belies immaturity and a black and white viewpoint, which goes against a lot of what the band writes about. There's nothing wrong with taking a side, but Bad Religion are basically regurgitating surface-level talking points instead of coming at it from a fresh angle, which makes them sound like pretty much every other punk band bitching about Trump. Like I stated right in the review, if the music was excellent I could easily ignore a lot of it, but the music is dull and the album is full of poop

I take back my centrist remark, turns out hes just a nazi

Perfectly expressing why nobody takes people like you seriously whatsoever

Not all trump supporters are nazis but all nazis are trump supporters

Except the KKK, socialism, and Nazis came from left-wing authoritarianism, Marx and Democrats, and classically support bigger and more intrusive governments to push through their agendas (the opposite of right-wing ideology), but nice try.

Nazis weren't left wing and didn't come from left wing ideology lmao

Hitler openly admitted Nazism grew out of Marxist ideology, he just didn't like how Marxist socialism was implemented and thought the Nazi's version was better because it focused on nationalism instead of internationalist socialism and communism. Look at their own party platform, it's FULL of socialist policies.
Learn how political spectrums work. Left wing = bigger government and authoritarian control over the public, moving towards collectivism. Right wing = less government, more personal/national sovereignty, moving towards anarchy. The Nazis were left-wing authoritarians, using nationalist themes to sell socialism with slightly different implementations.

I don’t support Trump but fuck going after Sput members’ social media accounts because you couldn’t possibly believe someone genuinely thought the lyrics on this mediocre punk album are bad.
“ I bet you cook amazing dinner for your wife's boyfriend too”
I haven’t seen this one before so I give this comeback burn a solid 4/5

Lol I don't mind, I actually totally expected at least one of them was going to do exactly that because that's just how they roll. Always easier to attempt a public shaming than actually counter their argument, that might require some actual thought. It's a fucking music review, chill out

yeah i never claimed it was difficult to find that info and i'm not a BR fan
pointing out that you're actually a far right sandy hook truther is relevant info in light of your where's the nuance??? posturing in this review and first couple pages of this thread where ppl were actually bothering to counter the "arguments" of someone who should be put into an asylum or turned into nutritional paste

You're still a pussy to resort to doing it
Not far right at all, learn to nuance better. Supporting Trump doesn't even make you a Republican, he's the most centrist President in decades on actual policy and tons of people who voted for Obama or even supported Bernie voted for Trump. And I'm certainly not the only person who's quite sane and points out that there's very strange oddities and evidence of cover-up with lots of mass shootings, try using some critical thinking and deductive reasoning? I'll take the "conspiracy theorist" label any day over being a bluepilled idiot slavishly lapping up whatever the TV tells me, jagoff
|

you know i was onboard with your criticisms of it being surface-level political lyricism, because it is. but goddamn you've made yourself look like a retard
'Supporting Trump doesn't even make you a Republican, he's the most centrist President in decades on actual policy and tons of people who voted for Obama or even supported Bernie voted for Trump.'
