God that twitter thing is fuckin awful

Like it's gotta hurt having people not enjoy the art you make, but that doesn't mean act like a fuckin 2 year old when people express disappointment w your work. Ugh.

And like I don't always agree w Fantano, but his take is pretty spot on by all accounts, and hardly warranted sparking this whole act-like-infants thing? idk.

Halos might be the only song on here approaching interesting but even then the verses are so bland

Two Bux is the only good song on this...man they've gotten uncreative...

Yeah actually, GH had riffs and good drumming and humor.

^this. These are the biggest things missing here by far.

I think they took the wrong types of inspo from AC/DC tbh.

Two Bux is the closest thing to GH sadly. And Around the Sun is sick but also a single. Almost all of the "new" tracks we're disappointing

I hope GH wasn't just a right time right place type of album but with all the drama surrounding this band now (lineup changes, Twitter) I'm scared it might've been

greatest hits was average, hopefully this makes people revisit it with a more critical lens

Greatest Hits was exactly what the title said it was-- a collection of hits using all the right elements to make something everyone can enjoy. The problem is, they can't repeat Greatest Hits without writing the exact same album again, so we get a piece of middling indie-rock.

i already have jammed GH since hearing this, just makes me more sad that the band shit the bed here after showing such potential.

Still don't know what potential y'all kept going on about but this is pretty good regardless

They sculpted their fanbase writing loud, high energy, emo garage rock and while I understand the idea of growing up or whatever I feel like this was too abrupt of a shift and not impactful or original enough to really make up for the change imo.
