Such a strange little album. Some listens I’m completely out off by it, other times I think it might be an absolute classic. So much going on that makes it both painful and so fun to listen to.

I do miss the sing(?)-along quality of the first one, which is a pretty basic criticism, but one of the reasons I enjoy the first so much.

yeah they don't craft any sticky hooks here, nothing is stuck in my head after the first listen. it's a blast while it's playing though

Which is a little disappointing at first, but if it means matured songwriting, I think it’s a worthy sacrifice!

Dang idk y’all i think the more varied and expansive songwriting makes the hooks stick even more
Kory can phrase just about anything to be super catchy tho, it’s a gift

Hmm I think across the whole album I agree, but this doesn’t have anything like “I Forgot to Take My Meds Today”. But also that song wouldn’t fit at all on here, so probably a pretty unfair criticism

Was thinking of that song specifically when I made my comment cuz it’s true, that is easily their catchiest song

I forgot to take my meds today is amateur hour compared to most of what is on this album

Catchy yes but a very simplistic song

Gotta disagree with the lack of memorable hooks, I can't get these songs out of my head. So many moments of brilliance on every song. My recent favourite has been that final hook on "Breather."

That "Dream Nails / C'mon and Smoke Me Up" transition still brings the hype every time, going from dreamy to punky in a snap

"I'm sick of feeling small and I'm sick of feeling dumb

I'm sick of feeling every little thing that I've done wrong"

Those get me every time.
