don't see why the big hate for this one, although I will say it's more fun playing dragonforce songs on guitar hero than listening to them out of enjoyment, although Razorblade Meltdown is probably one of their best songs in quite a long time, maybe best song they made with the new vocalist so far

It's not hate per se. But the vocals aren't good and the instrumentals don't compensate for it enough.

I'm only 3 songs in and out of about 100 power metal albums released this year that I've heard I think only 2 are worse than this and one is a gimmick album about Elon Musk.

--Wait what? he's in Skid Row? Is there a footage of him singing 'I Remember You' on youtube?--

There's footage of him ruining all sorts of Skid Row classics.

Hi, Poet! Good to see you still around

Speaking of still around...these guys? Let me guess, still writing TTF&F with different lyrics?

PS If this singer is the one I saw live with them in 2011, he is NOT a good fit for them.

"Ultra Beatdown is worse but yeah this isn't that good"

But it has Heroes of Our Time which must be their best song tho

They've really strayed away from that type of song, although they are still there. Now it's mostly mid-tempo power metal songs with fast solos.

I'm a sucker for corny power metal, but this bored the shit out of me.

This is the worst DragonForce album imo. I like Ultra Beatdown and pretty much all their albums. From this I'd take Highway, Cosmic, Troopers, Razorblade, and My Heart Will Go On as the good tracks and leave the rest forever, and those also feel like they are missing something. Funny that the album with the most bombastic cover and title is the dullest.

I literally only like Highway to Oblivion, Troopers, and Rememberance Day... kind of

There's pieces of other songs that I like but a lot of this album is just bland

The interplay between keyboards and those dual guitar solos on Razorblade Meltdown melts my brain. I can't count the number of times I've listened to that solo section:

Not are they only kinda grating, there’s no emotion, depth, or range. The most wallpaper vocals I’ve heard in some time. Kinda surprised I’ve given it this high of a score but I really do dig the music behind the vocals. That Céline Dion cover couldn’t be more emotionless vocally

I just realized these guys have about 1.5K monthly listeners on Spotify, twice as many as Opeth. Damn
