I feel like the fact that it's basically a completely different band lineup-wise probably accounts for why they've been able to get better over time. different songwriters and all that

Memphis is the only song I really go back to from that album. Undeniable classic.

Responding to the comment about having a different lineup every release.

Cory has said he thinks of the band as a collective of revolving musicians now rather than a band, and I think think that mindset is what’s driving their creative force so hard. Cory still writes nearly everything, but having a cast of different supporting dudes every release helps keep his writing consistent yet fresh at the same time. Dude’s a fuckin genius.

Also my band gets to play with them next month and I’m fucking PUMPED. This is a band I’ve grown up with so sharing the stage with them is like a dream come true.

were you expecting a core vocalist in his 40s to be an intellectual?

there's not being an intellectual and then there's believing that satanist pedophiles are conspiring to overthrow Donald Trump because he's going to turn America into a conservative utopia

This def has some potential to grow on me but as it stands it still sits at the bottom next to PS. We’ll see if that changes with time

Idk if he believes in it per se, but he definitely doesn’t seem to oppose the idea of it either. He seems to take the stance of “I dont care what other people do/think” almost to a fault.
