Wilderun has definitely taken to mastering their whimsical winding sound. Far From Where Dreams Unfurl is prolly a top 3 Wilderun song man.
Idk if I like this as a whole as much as Olden Tales or Sleep since they've definitely delved down a proggier route but this still rules.

I've always loved Opeth's more progressive (but still heavy) stuff - basically Watershed - and this brings those vibes plus other stuff.

I think Olden Tales is prolly number one but mainly just because High Coast of Barberees ending which still gives me massive chills.
Man this band rules

"whats the black halo"
This is the first time I've audibly gasped reading something on this site in like a decade. Funny enough, the cleans on this album remind me a bit of Roy Khan.

Fucking stellar moments but do they give you the same chills I get when the main Ash Memory motif comes in like a fucking sledgehammer at the end of The Faintest Echo???
Man this band rules [2]

It's gonna take a little while to digest this beast, but there's no doubt it'll go down as a modern classic.

I see the band name and I can't help but think of some heartland rock album that Springsteen would have released
