The best kind of quarantine isolation. Except for drunken quarantine isolation. I'm working on that.

Not to drag up the bulk of the review again, but I think what made this really click for me is that even without a concept or defining theme, this felt like an album rather than a collection of songs like Savage Sinusoid did.
I've been a big fan of of Igorrr since the first track I heard but this is the first time I've been consistently listening to a collection of songs rather than jumping in every now and again, because I actually feel compelled by the record.

definitely more of an album experience, this one. however, with the cohesion it loses a bit of the chaotic madness of the last record that I loved so much. also doesn't feel as heavy as the last one, but that may just be me going into this and knowing what to expect.

It did surprise me how with the addition of the guitars and drums it manages to sound less heavy, but I didn't find it off-putting at all. It might just be how clean and clinical everything is that takes that edge off a little bit, but it really didn't affect the listening experience for me.
Totally get what you mean about having a certain expectation though, and Parpaing being released as a second single might have helped set the expectation for something a little heavier elsewhere on the album which didn't really happen!

I'm still to listen to this one, but Savage has def somewhat of a narrative.

All jokes aside; those who fracture mentally will be tested over the course of the next few weeks/months. If (and this is an open invite) you feel like you need to bounce feelings/what you're thinking/et al to someone (keeping in mind I'm not a mental doc - rather just someone you can chat to) feel free to shoutbox/discord/messenger etc. I can't promise anything, but I can be there if you don't want to stress your family/friends.
Sometimes sput needs to stand together - rather than tear each other opinions apart we can help each other stay as is. We can get to shitposting opinions later. So far, this hasn't really been addressed - but we need to now.

It's sincere; It's not often that an internet forum so detached from the topic at hand can come together like this. But the opportunity is here. I don't have the answers - but I can be a soundboard for feelings if need be.
