yeah a lot of this is gorgeous, some of it is very trad math-rock wankery. Overall it's great but I wish they leaned into the ambient-y soundscapes of the opener and such more

I mean, Yvette is an incredible guitarist... and the aesthetics of this album are beautiful, but it's missing hooks that lock in. A bit too airy... wispy.

These guys need to ugly up their sound just a little. It grooves but sounds too nice and pretty and *perfect* to be very interesting

Parachute is definitely the song I return to the most off of this. Great track. Not sure what the bassist's background is, but I wish this dude would go way harder on the bass with a 3 piece like this. He has so much room to explore in a setup like this. Yeah, I get it, he probably doesn't want to outshine Yvette in anyway 'cause she's the star, but the band would shine a lot more with interesting bass work included with the guitar work.
