I disagree that this isn't apeing Fit for an Autopsy. This sounds far more like FFAA than it sounds like Xenocide era Aversions Crown.

While I do agree with that, I also wonder how much of that is down to the vocalist's tone being reeeeeeeally similar to FFAA's. If Mark had done vocals over these tracks would I still think they sounded really similar? Idk.

The loss of the last vocalist has been really bad for this band.
I've lost interest

Tyrant is the album that actually got me into deathcore, and this just has... none of the appeal tbh. Sounds like TAIM if they were worshipping BDM more than they already do. Not to say the music is bad - it's good - but this is just so plain-sounding. Album art is super top-tier.

Tyrant was stupid good, Xenocide was a step down from that imo
Might check this out but the new vocalist turns me off

agree Tyrant and even their debut was really good imo, Xenocide felt bland by comparison

I never jammed the debut, I should check it out sometime

I actually enjoy this more than their previous works. I mean the predecessors all had some standout tracks and moments but started to blend together after a while. This is more Hooky and easier to digest imho. Can see the ffaa comparison, but mainly in the vocal department. Instrumentally these guys are a little more extreme and have some different leadwork.

Been jamming the new Justice For The Damned too much to listen to this. Will try and get around to it eventually.

As for the vocals, I didn't even care that much. This isn't that good musically
I'd totally take Tyrant over this musically anyday, the vocals were good there too. Better than Xenocide vocals with those weird guttural gurgles. Here the vocals just.. were there. Not a bad thing IMO. Weird to hinge your enjoyment of an extreme metal album on the diversity of harsh vocals present

lol maybe it's because i haven't really listened to a full deathcore album since the last FFAA album but yeah this is still fun

I've tried listening to this a few more times but the vocals just take away so much from the album. The whole thing just feels watered down to match the monotonous and boring vocals. If I had never heard any of AC's previous work, or FFaA/TAiM for that matter, then maybe I would have enjoyed this more. But as it stands, this is just a derivative and worthless addition to their discography.

i was so hyped when i saw the album art but xenocide is waaaaaay better than this. this just sounds like a more boring FFAA to me
