I think that if the drone intro got the Akuma no Uta treatment and had a 2-minute alternative version I'd bump this and call it top 5 Ulver; can't really knock it as is, but damn do I pass on jamming it as a whole too often

Still haven't heard any Boris so I don't know what you're talking about Johnny.

I believe Johnny is saying that if Enter The Void was way shorter or had some more variety to it then this would be top 5 Ulver. If so then I agree, but still not top 5 for me. Certainly top 10 though and maybe on the level of the excellent and underrated ATGCLVLSSCAP.

> but still not top 5 ... on the level of the excellent and underrated ATGCLVLSSCAP.

Just barely out of the top5 for me, but also yeah, it's almost that good as ATGCLVLSSCAP.

Hmmmm, I wouldn't rank it that high (yet?), need to spend more time with it. But it is undeniably a fantastic album, way better than both Caesar and Flowers.

"Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions is a satirical novella by the English schoolmaster Edwin Abbott Abbott, first published in 1884 by Seeley & Co. of London. Written pseudonymously by "A Square", the book used the fictional two-dimensional world of Flatland to comment on the hierarchy of Victorian culture, but the novella's more enduring contribution is its examination of dimensions."

It was a fun read.

"Still haven't heard any Boris so I don't know what you're talking about Johnny."

Akuma no Uta is famously one of the shortest and sweetest Boris alb, but it comes with a (very good!) 9 min drone intro that the bois(r) decided at some point was too much and cut down to 2 mins for certain editions. Rips either way, but I think this would benefit more from the option

gud. it's a good way in, although mainly caters to their stoner rock side - I'd say that as a Kyuss fan you might dig the first Heavy Rocks more, but both bang for days

It was about time that I finally checked them for real. The stoner rock bit sounds exciting.
