Nice Review, I'm glad to see that people appreciate 3 Libras because it really is a good song. I don't think the song Rose gets it due, though. Lyrically it is a great song, but I can see how some people discredit it just because of how dark and depressing it can get.

This album was such an eye-opener. All of the songs are so beautifully written and unique. I can never listen to the same bands as I did before I heard APC.



"Rose" is my favorite at the moment. It has such an intresting sound. I love how they mix sounds and I always swoon over Maynard's soft spoken intro. This song perfectly blends his vulnerable tone of voice with the stronger and more powerful one seen in "Judith."



"3 Libras" is of course a classic. The violin is beautiful and I love to see a rock band incorporating that into their music. The "You don't, you don't, see me" gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Maynard isn't the whole band or the sole contributor but this cd would most defiantly not be the same without his amazing vocals.



"Brena" is another favorite. I find myself singing it all the time randomly :P



Overall to me this album is so refreshing from the usual rock music out todayThis Message Edited On 01.31.08

I used to be so in love with this record (in 2001), but kinda fell out of love with it. Still great nonetheless, and the 13th step is better after a couple years of not listening.

I really liek this album, but I've never really listened to it alot in one go. Might o that, as it's really good.

Beautiful album. I remember listening to this album at such a fragile & transitional period in life. It illuminated a lot of what I was experiencing. Then a year later a friend discovered the acoustic versions of a couple of the songs on this one & they were extraordinary too. This is one of those albums that will eternally be etched in my mind & my music.
