this is a very guilty pleasure of mine, very guilty indeed, but im not ashamed of it. the only song i didnt like is smile like you mean it, and its because of the consistantly annoying synth part, i dont like alot of synth, there needs to be guitar to overpower it. great review, by the way. midnight show is the very best song on the albumThis Message Edited On 03.04.06

This album is very dry to me. Everyone raves about how they bring up 80's alt rock. The only issue is 80's alt rock was good. Nothing is good as the original.

I sorta have a problem with that line, as the Strokes, while not amazing are a pretty cool band and Modest Mouse is nothing short of awesome. Maybe if all you've heard is Float On I can understand your point, but theres usually much more to a band then their only hit.

I love this album it took a while but its grown on me in a big way.Its kind of slow and waltzy in places and upbeat and positive in others, Brandon Flowers has a great voice and is a good song writer All these things that ive done is a stand out for me it just makes me want to smile! somebody told me was given to much air play and now i hate it but otherwise its top American indie rock and roll

I do agree that the first half is stronger then the 2nd half. but I absolutely love Mr. Brightside. I don't know why.

saw them live....they are ok. These guys in interviews think there hardcore......they wear makeup.
