Considering the song otherwise doesn’t sound anything like any drake song I’ve heard and that her rap verse doesn’t sound anything like any drake bars I’ve ever heard the implication was pretty vague and came off as more of a slight to HEATED than a slight to drake to me

Yeah I'm ngl I just finished my first spin this morning and it left me wanting. I do think it's an improvement on Lemonade but fails to capture the heights of the self titled (lightning in a bottle, that one). Gonna listen again though because there were some noteworthy tracks. I thought the opener was great, also liked Alien Superstar, and yeah Church Girl is one of the most fun and playful tracks on the album

I think maybe I'm a bit of a basic bitch when it comes to Beyonce haha. I love it when she prioritizes melody and emotion over going hard, which is why I tend to gravitate towards tracks like Jealous, Pretty Hurts, Alien Superstar etc.

most egregious case in recent years is how that chromatics guy went back and uploaded a crappier mix of kill for love on streaming. imagine wanting to hear one of your fav albums and it sounds worse cause the artist is a ‘perfectionist’ who can’t let it go. i’ll stick to owning stuff tyvm
