People have a soft spot for psychedelic/weird art, what can I say?
|
| |
Yeah the album art isn't amazing but it's at least got a pleasing color scheme and some strong, clear lines. Probably one of their better covers, in fact, certainly pops more than their last several

I'm of the mindset that even if a succinct 10-song album would be stronger overall, I'd still rather hear everything they were working on. I was a big fan of UL, looking forward to this. Saw them last month and it was easily one of the best I've been to.
Now if only John would reunite with the Mars Volta...

I was with them during their ’99-’06 winning streak, and now back for these two 2022 albums.
Album art hues reminds me of Pantera’s Metal Magic

I defended Unlimited Love but I can’t say I’m really feeling this one.
At this point I’d rather a Frusciante solo rock album. Heavy Wing is what I need from the Chili peppers in 2022, Kiedis is just to far behind the rest of the band.
“Strapped for cash I’m eating bangers and mash”
*sigh

I love my family intrinsically like ❤️Anthony Kiedis❤️

"And as I said before this is coming from the biggest chilis fan on Sputnik. I’ve literally listened to them dozens of times"
This got a genuine hearty laugh out of me

Definitely a grower, after several listenings I enjoy it more than UL, the record is more alternative and unexpected at times, quite intriguing direction, with keyboard and saxophone

Really liked Eddie so might give this a go

This looks like some bad vaporwave album cover?

'The pink shape at the bottom right of the album art looks like some strange rabbit-eared creature twerking with its back facing me.'
took me ages to realise it's the back angle of the head of a dragon

I somehow thought Sputnik would enjoy this more than Unlimited Love.

It might just be way too much chili peppers released too close together

Was really impressed with this. Anyone feeling lukewarm give "Bella" a listen.
The album cover looks better in person imo.

"Anthony keidis is the Tom Cruise of music. Even if the movie is pretty good Tom cruise is so terrible he makes the whole movie distractingly bad"
The shittest take ever. It's like the opposite way around. If a movie is shit Cruise makes it semi-watchable. Kiedis is just awful full stop

Tom Cruise rules.

You guys are the Anthony keidis of Sputnik
|
| |
Yeah the Tom Cruise take the one guy had is just misguided. People just blindly dump on him bc of the scientology (and obviously scientology is indeed trash) but from all reports he's a super good dude, very kind to everyone and really good to the film crews etc.. everyone likes working with him, and he's a good actor as well. Doesn't have a ton of range but he does well within that range.

@ RHCP the last album was pretty disappointing so I'm not jumping off my seat to listen to this one. As a long-time peppers fan you knew it was inevitable if they kept playing. Hard to keep that creative edge when you're filthy rich and comfortable in your 50s lol
