"The fact that she will ultimately only have ever made one great album is very sad"

I am starting to fear this

yeah ngl every time someone calls album X the best Carly since Emotion the nadir of my shrug gets a centimetre lower. don't think she's entirely lost though - all her stuff since (even Dedicated) was worth a Best Tracks scalping

The fact that people think Emotion is amazing, but don't like any of her other albums is hilarious to me

I promise you they are not THAT different

I think Dedicated Side B especially, is as good as Emotion for the most part. I personally prefer The Loneliest Time over both of these, but I think it just hit at the right time for me, despite it's flaws. This is probably the worst one since Emotion overall, not to say it's exactly bad though it's still pretty good!

Kinda depends on what you qualify as "great." Yeah I think Emotion was S-Tier and she hasn't made anything since to reach that height, but she's put out multiple A-tier releases since. I'd consider everything since Emotion (except for MAYBE this) to be great.

I agree with this by virtue of the fact that Kiss is also an incredible album, not because I think anything she did after Emotion is any good.
