I am admittedly grumpy about my disappointment with this so I will take the L for trying to dunk on anyone

But I didn't say Slow Dose sounds like Gallery, I said it has atmosphere like Gallery

Slow Dose would be a lot better without Anthony's vocals on it

People just seem to be hating on Slow Dose because aNtHony grEeN.

It is easily one of the most interesting songs on the album. I'll admit, it would have been even more interesting if they split his soft vocals, with harsh vocals. It shows y'all never listened to The Sound of Animals Fighting. But I'm sure you will find some way to hate on one of the most interesting bands of the modern era lol...

Kick rocks.

Interesting interview with DePirro explaining the main reason they wanted to move on from Douglas.

https://www.musicradar.com/news/night-verses-nick-depirro-with-vocals-i-often-found-myself-competing-with-the-registers-now-i-can-go-from-lead-to-rhythm-and-anything-in-between

Fans have been wanting vocals back, for some time now, and they knocked it out of the park. Just wish there was one track with harsh vocals on it... Or even a Douglas feature would have been neat.

I like that the review forgets about their second album when it says LYE was their last with vocals. Noone ever talks about their second abum - truly the middle child of this band.

yeah, this has eliminated all the positive aspects of part 1. quite emphatically. The two part thing feels beneficial now

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the "previous" release in isolation, but part 2. detracts from it by confusing matters with unneeded vocal features and an additional dose of boring junz, without the necessary payoff. A chore to sit through at times.
