so this vocalist has 3 tones... the scream, the sing and the whine... if they could drop the whine this would be a solid 4

I don’t fault anyone for disliking the whiny yelping thing, it’s pretty polarizing. I think the only reason it doesn’t bother me is cause I used to listen to a ton of Blood Brothers… now that band had some insanely annoying ass vocals.

are you sure the screamer doesnt also do the whine thing? seems like they blend so quick that its the same person
|
| |
Wow this is so much better than anything they've ever done
The "sasscore" element has been toned down on this thankfully

yeah yeah the main screamer does the whiny thing too. bass player does most of the clean singing and then the guitar player Ethan chimes in with some of the more mid ranged screams every now and then.

oh ok thanks. very talented group here, and i dig all the other vocal elements. maybe i just need to jam it some more

This is mostly cool, but the intro track is so bad that I nearly stopped listening.

This is pretty cool, and i really like that they did something unique like injecting cabaret club vibes into a core record.
Even though every song is enjoyable to some extent, im not sure if ill ever love it, Connie was always my fav part of this band and im a little disappointed to see her take a backseat. Im not huge on Taylor's cleans, while i maybe controversially love Connie's "whiny" cleans/shouts.

Man it's so cool to know that they worked with Matt Squire for this cause I can hear a lot of Fever in this which is probably why I love it so much

Yeah it's crazy, apparently they pitched the idea to their label that they wanted to work with him, and then Pure Noise was like "he actually hit us up about a month ago asking to work with YOU". They also worked with Isaac Hale from KL a lot during the writing process. Just a super weird mishmash of people and influences that came together so wonderfully.
