Always baffled when she's praised for her lyrics when there's so many awful lyrics on this thing lol.

I could imagine enjoying a lot of these songs more if there weren't a million of the same-sounding things that I had just heard. Also if Taylor wasn't trying her damndest to sound poetic and deep on each track

the lyrics are the worst thing about this whole thing. Its really weird that she would pen stuff like this, if she did write anything at all.
I had some kind of respect for her at one point, you know writing songs that meant something to someone be it teenage girls and all.... this though, what a giant shit on her career and her fans.

I still respect the ballsy marketing stunt. Not many artists can sneak a whole double album under fans' noses without a single track being leaked aside from titles, let alone one of the biggest pop artists in the world.
I just wish the music justified such a long runtime, rather than being a homogenous faux-poetic blob

“Not many artists can sneak a whole double album under fans' noses without a single track being leaked aside from titles”
That’s pretty easy tbh

took a roadtrip with the GF over the weekend and she was so excited to jam this. we basically skipped every song at the one minute mark. she hates it

My GF was the exact same way, she was pumped for this album. I was a bit more skeptical, but I gave it a shot... we both started continuously saying "haven't we just heard this?" around track 8 or 9, we DNFed around track 13-ish?

The bad lyrics are probably the best part tbh. At least I remember them.

haha that's pretty much the exact esperience we had. i was kinda looking forward to this and maybe we could have enjoyed it together. doesnt seem to be the case
i'd love to be whoever made the beats on this, super simple/repetitive and make bank

I was so skeptical, but I basically shut myself up and genuinely tried. I was liking at first for the first few tracks, but it never diversified it enough to keep that momentum.
I still want to finish this album one day, but I need to wait until I have more disposable time on my hands lol

im going back through it now. "fresh out the slammer" is pretty good... getting a lot of Lana del Rey vibes on this: the minimal production, mellow vocal timbre, etc. but it is so monotonous track to track
