The opener (Against the Grain) is one of the best metal songs of all time. Can't tell you how many times I've listened to it.
I can tell they 100% went for an opener like that with this album but it was a tall order.

Lyrics are badass too.
I spun this twice and both times got super bored after the first two tracks up until Blood Makes…
Will give it another spin after I let it breath for a bit.

Ahah live time reaction here. First track in and I started to think "ahah no way this shit is too polite for me". Second track was another story and it got really dirty on me XD
So...definitely divided here

I hadn't heard of these before this review, I've since span Aenigma and the debut a couple of times. I like Aenigma a lot, don't care much for the debut but this album is so much better than either and it makes me wanna give it a 5.

Ive listened to so much melodeath at this point that it will take something miraculous to really blow my mind, but this is still very solid and growing on me.

Gave this another try. Still a 3 😅
I can easily skip like 2/3rds of this and have a better experience.
Just realized though, Swampborn reminds me of these guys' sound, but they do it better.

Well, I can honestly see the 4.5 on this. I'm not sure I will though. Many tracks that go from that average melodeath, I do not care much about, to amazing prog and death hooky moments.

Exactly ^ some mid alongside some 6/5 moments, hard to pin a rating. Blood Makes the grass grow is amazing
A few riffs I feel I have heard elsewhere too, even the song above has a moonsorrow riff in the verses.
