Great review! As much as I think Daddy’s Home and Masseduction were a lot better than people gave them credit for, I understand not everybody likes her theatrics. I do love that this one is a combination of them, but going back to her older sound.

Definitely back to a good sound...the songs I'm not so sure are as engaging as those back in that 2009-2014.
I don't find her the most consistent writer full stop, but maybe this'll be a 3.5 down the line (given this four listens so far)

The only song I don't care for here is So Many Planets, everything else a 4 or above

really don't appreciating this shoehorning two openers into the first two slots and Broken Man clutches a little too hard with much too much polish for shock value, but Flea thru the Power's Out is easily her best run since the s/t
rest of the album is kinda take or leave, but it lands its mark overall ig. don't see myself returning to this often

Did she listen to a lot of 9 inch nails before writing this?

It's so dry. I remember none of this.

Don’t see how this is “dry” at all but ok I guess

Didn't think I'd enjoy Sweetest Fruit in the long run, but it really works as a wonky single
