Best review of the Crusade, sorry Shadows Fallen and Drunken Viking! Anyway, I'm probably in the minority, but I like Ascendancy. A lot. One of my favorites all time, believe it or not. I've only heard Ignition, Entrance, and Anthem, and since everybody seems to only like Ignition and i HATE that song, im nervous. But, out of pure respect for Ascendancy, I'll put this at the bottom of my list to pick up.

That's because there is no problem with that, you said MY most anticipated albums of 06. If you said THE most anticipated albums and they were all metal, eh little iffy but congrats on the featured review!

It kind of reminds me of some wussified Manowar cover.

But maybe that's just me.

It's bad enough that Trivium are ripping off a crappy metal band (Metallica), but if they start ripping off Manowar, there will be blood.

i have to agree the first 2 times i heard these songs i didnt care for them at all (especially tread the floods for some reason) but about the third time i gave it a try it stuck and i cant stop listening to it! this album damn good! just because they stepped out of metalcore and into just plain metal doesnt mean u should hate. i think it was a step forward.

1 thing bothers me though: the album doesnt flow like it should, all the songs are too different and dont have that trivium sound that should be there =[

I wanted to like this. I just couldn't. It didn't grab me at all.

I mean there are some good highlights like "Anthem", "Tread the Floods" and "The Crusade"(because he doesn't sing...haha. Musically i thought this album was very good but vocally and lyrically it was almost a joke

w/e i fucking love this album, you guys are worse than the guys over at UG, haha they absolutely hate trivium and i would have to say this owns their previous efforts, Heafys vocals are better than urs will ever be and hes like what...19, and the guitar on this album owned and so did the drums and mr.gregoletto showed a smidgeon of talent oon this album. and was that bass at the end of Becoming the Dragon, its pretty good.

You actually believe that knowledge and ability are exclusive? Aside from the fact that Heafy's vocals are audio gonorrhea, what the hell gave you that notion? How much crack did you have to smoke for that to sound reasonable? This Message Edited On 10.12.06

the fact that makes it resonable is that he is rich, u aren't, he is an amazing guitar player, u aren't(even if u dont play guitar any other of the band members can show u up except paolo...lmao)

he must be a good singer if he got signed to roadrunner

Sure. According to the un-logic of the anti-matter universe of Quaad.

he must be a good singer if he got signed to roadrunner

The same logic could be applied to 50 Cent and Britney Spears and their labels. Doesn't make it true.

Try again, kid. This is fun. This Message Edited On 10.12.06
