A lot of Cradle isn't really anti-religious, from what I've paid attention. They just use religion as a piss-off for attention, and it works. I'm not too well versed in CoF knowledge though.

Hrmm...I'm really not trying to be the huge Slayer fanboy that I am, but that could be considered as controversial as their cover art for "Christ Illusion". I too am a Christian, but I tend to brush off album covers, lyrics, and band acts, but I understand where you're coming from Bfhurricane.
I couldn't have put it better myself, south.
And btw, great review as always shadows ^.^ I'm not a big fan of CoF...but I may check this out.

This album is a disappointment to me. Midian was their last good album, everything after that was a great plummet downhill.

I shall check this album out.

It's unfortunate that this album sounds exactly like Nymphetamine in almost every way. They'll never top Damnation and a Day, I think.

Damnation and a Day was their worst album, methinks.
They'll never top Vempire or Midian.

I loved this. It didn't drag the way Nymphtamine did after the title track. The only song I didn't really like was I Am the Thorn. The clean vocals were a nice touch.

I'm glad they they didn't use the clean vocals very much to make them seem overdone like tons of metal bands out there today.
Oh, and the intro to "Tonight In Flames" is beyond badass.

^^ Yes it is, and you'r right, the clean vocals were uncommon and didn't stand in the way of what the band was and always will be. My faves are Tonight In Flames, The Byronic Man, Cemetary And Sundown, The Foetus Of A New Day Kicking and Under Huntress Moon.

Whaaaaaaaat?? This sounds absolutely nothing like Nymphetamine.

If it doesn't sound like Nymphetamine, it can't be too bad., but I probably won't pick this up. It will just remind me how much I wish they could top Midian. This Message Edited On 10.23.06

Yes. It sounds like Nymphetamine. Every other album has its own distinct sound to it. This one does not. Their style hasn't really changed.

Eh, all I can say is that you should probably listen harder.

"The Foetus of a New Day Kicking" is surprisingly good. I might check this out.

I'm commenting way late on this, but I still read it before everyone else here. :D
Wonderful review, Ben. :thumb: I'll get this soon. Too bad the single/cover sucks indeed.

This is a pretty solid effort, but I feel that Dani and crew have did way better in the past.
"Dirge Inferno" is a complete beast.
