4.5 superb | jimgorn | July 5th 13 | I have been a huge fan of Swayzak since I was only a child and they have always influenced me greatly. Help me discovering a lot new music (in all kind of different genres/styles) and helped me developing my music taste. All their superb mixes like Serieculture, groovetechnology & fabric 11 are still some my favorite mixes of all time. Therefore, I was very sad when I found out they had split up. But this album is a promising new start for David Brown. A modern techno album with a great balance between danceable techno & more raw/experimental techno. If you like artist like Andy Stott (newer stuff like Luxury Problems, We Stay Together & Passed Me By), Shed (The Killer) & Miles (debut album Faint Hearted) you should definitely check this album out. I highly recommend buying it on LP because that is the only way you will get the full experience out of it. rI also highly recommend checking out James S. Taylor's (the other half of Swayzak) project "Lugano Fell". A much more experimental project consisting of genres like Musique Concr?te, Drone, Ambient & Modern Classical. Also superb music. You can listen to the whole S_W_Z_K album on Swayzak's own soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/s_w_z_k/sets/s_w_z_k-tresor-253
