"we're kind of infamous around here"

what a dark time that was

Our first official album, completely instrumental. It was going to sound way different but we kicked Dillan out
and made The Storm. This album is mostly psychedelic rock, heavy metal, and progressive rock. The album
opens with the melodic, yet fierce "Overture". After the excitement dies down out of the seven or so minutes
the album goes down a different road into psychedelia. To clear up confusion, the song title is the word
Psychedelia in Russian. With that said, the song is a jam on a sitar with Brendan and Tyrone doing percussion.
The album goes back onto the heavy metal road with the song "Blue Fog". Generally this song sounds like a
chase song similar to the music used in most James Bond movies. Then the peak of the heavy metal side
comes out of us on the short and sweet "Blue Mist". The song's riff is similar to a Black Sabbath sort of song.
The band quiets down for a few minutes on the other psychedelic song, "The Inner Eye". This song uses a sort
of wah sound on the guitar with a distorted guitar showing up every now and then. This might be the most
mellow song on the album. Then out comes "The Storm". The epic. At 21:42 long, it is by far the longest song
on the album. This song goes up and down quite a bit in terms of dynamics and mood. It starts with a sort of
acid rock vibe, not in terms of trippiness but in terms of arrangement. Then after about five minutes it goes
into a nice, relaxing section of a repeated guitar riff and drum pattern. The music soon fades out into the
sounds of a storm approaching and a sort of siren sound. When the music picks back up the band starts
playing a kind of jazz fusion section. After that section ends, the band starts truly getting heavier with a two
guitar lead. Then the finale comes. When the band ends their galloping and noisy ending, the music once
again fades into a Storm with a siren in the background. To end the album, the band chose "11". It can be a
bit of a stretch to even really call it music because it is just a backwards distorted guitar with some suction
cup sounding drums. This song lasts about seven or eight minutes. That is pretty much the album, this may
put it into a bit of a better perception of what we made. Enjoy.
