Honestly, I don't understand how this album wasn't even added to the band's page. This time, Snarky Puppy is not doing instrumental jams, instead they utilize different vocalists for every song on the album, which definitely makes this a standout from their discography so far. Every song is unique and has its own style, mainly due to its vocalist. "Something", sung by Lalah Hathaway won a Grammy Award, quite deservedly. In my opinion, it's not even the best song on the record, but I'll just let everyone decide which ones are the best - because honestly all 8 tracks here are simply terrific. Brilliant, heartfelt musicianship and soulful vocals. Combine the two and you get the Family Dinner, Volume 1.
